An osteopathic perspective on Match 2025: A growing part of U.S. health care

Every year, the Match marks a milestone in the career of physicians across the country.

That holds true for students of osteopathic medicine, and in recent years the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) has highlighted their contributions to the profession.

In this video series, AOA President Teresa A. Hubka, DO, discusses the outcomes and the growing numbers of osteopathic graduates moving into residencies — and eventually leadership positions in the U.S. health care system.

The 2025 Match was announced March 21 by the National Resident Matching Program, but the work is just getting started for medical students and their instructor physicians who will guide them in coming years.
