Coronavirus response: Doctors can now practice across state lines

The move comes to allow healthcare providers to assist at hospitals that need help during the coronavirus outbreak.

The federal government will now all physicians and other medical personnel to practice across state lines in order to battle the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.
Vice President Mike Pence made this announcement during Wednesday's Coronavirus Task Force daily media briefing.
"HHS is issuing a regulation today that will allow all doctors and medical professionals to practice across state lines, to meet the needs of hospitals that may arise in adjoining areas," Pence said.
