NIOSH and physician burnout: an introduction

Government researchers can help fight burnout in health care.

Director John Howard, MD, MPH, JD, LLM, MBA, introduces the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH). The institute this year published the Impact Wellbeing Guide: Taking Action to Improve Healthcare Worker Wellbeing, a free online resource with six steps for hospital and health care system leaders to create long-term plans for worker wellness.
