The numbers behind Memorial Sloan-Kettering's Sidney Kimmel Center for Prostate and Urologic Cancers

The following data were evaluated to determine Memorial Sloan-Kettering’s standing as a Clinical Center of Excellence for prostate cancer:

2002 – Department founded

31 – Faculty

800 – Radical prostatectomies performed annually

400 – Patients treated with external-beam radiation annually

150 – Patients treated with brachytherapy annually

500 – Prostate biopsies performed annually

35 – Research protocols annually
