25 years of patient safety: Policy for price and quality

The Leapfrog Group supports expanding federal policies to enhance transparency in health care pricing and quality, building on past efforts like President Donald J. Trump's recent executive order about availability of price data. The organization advocates for improving the way quality and safety are measured by shifting from claims-based data to real-time electronic medical record (EMR) reporting for more accurate and less burdensome monitoring. Their goal is to create a robust, transparent health care marketplace with real-time quality tracking across hospitals and health systems.
