Recovering from Employee Embezzlement

Medical and dental practices are prime targets for employee embezzlement, and complacency in the face of this threat to the bottom line can be extremely costly. In the first in a series of articles in Physician’s Money Digest on the problem of employee embezzlement in the medical practice setting, author Stephen A. Pedneault, the principal and founder of Forensic Accounting Services, LLC, focuses on how to recover in case you are the victim of embezzlement.

Pedneault discusses what sort of insurance and how much insurance you should have in place to protect yourself. Also covered are options for getting compensation from the embezzler by going after their assets.
