Building trust in primary care

Arlene S. Bierman, MD, MS, is director of the Center for Evidence and Practice Improvement in the federal Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. She also is a general internist, geriatrician and researcher.

In this video segment, Bierman says most people trust their doctors, but must deal with a fragmented health care system. A primary care system that meets the needs of clinicians and patients will build trust between them.
