The shortage of primary care physicians is a nationwide issue, yet the severity of the crisis varies per state.That’s according to America’s Health Rankings, an annual report released by the United Health Foundation.One aspect of the report examined the average number of primary care physicians in each state per 100,000 patients. For purposes of the report, primary care includes internal medicine, family practice, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, geriatrics and general practice.See the slideshow below to see which states are most in need of primary care physicians.
