Susan Dentzer, president and CEO of America's Physician Groups, explains why their latest report proposes bundling dental, vision and hearing into accountable care.

Medical Economics sat down with Susan Dentzer, president and CEO of America's Physician Groups (APG), to discuss their latest report, "Medicare Done Right."

Dentzer outlines a bold proposal from the report: offer dental, vision and hearing coverage to fee-for-service beneficiaries — but only if they join an accountable care model.

She explains why many seniors face "sticker shock" when trying to patch together Medicare coverage and how bundling supplemental benefits with care coordination through an accountable care organization (ACO) could save money, improve outcomes and create a stronger incentive for engagement.

"We think a lot of people would go for it," she said.
