Tuesday morning at the MGMA Leaders Conference 2025, Kyle Mynatt, chief technology officer at DAS Health, led the session, "The Future of Healthcare Leadership: Aligning Technology, People, and Performance," at the MGMA Leaders Conference in Orlando.

Mynatt’s central message was straightforward: health care leadership today requires technology leadership.

Whether it’s complying with new HIPAA rules, managing mergers or adopting AI, success depends on intentional planning and accountability.

"Give me six hours to chop down a tree, and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe," he said, quoting Abraham Lincoln. For practices, sharpening the axe means developing a clear IT strategy, holding internal and external partners accountable, and aligning technology with the organization's mission.
