A leader of the American Independent Medical Practice Association discusses new AMA findings about the state of private practice physicians.

Regulatory burdens are not new in medicine and have been problematic for years. Regulatory burdens were among the main reasons cited in the Policy Research Perspectives paper, “Physician Practice Characteristics in 2024: Private Practices Account for Less Than Half of Physicians in Most Specialties,” published by the American Medical Association.
