One the focuses at the Healthcare Financial Management Association’s national meeting in Las Vegas was providing upfront costs to patients so they can make better decisions. However, many of the current processes need to be improved upon to make it a reality.
“All of the work that physicians are doing right now—entering information in electronic health records—we need to be able to leverage and pull that information back out and provide it back to clinicians so they can make better decisions about patient care,” Meyers said.
