In-N-Out Burger bans employees from wearing masks

The popular burger chain announced it will soon ban employees from wearing masks in five of the seven states in which it operates. Only workers in California and Oregon will be allowed to wear masks. The ban, which starts August 14, will be implemented to “emphasize the importance of customer service and the ability to show our Associates’ smiles.”

East, southeast have the most Alzheimer’s cases

A new study reveals a first ever analysis of county-level Alzheimer’s. The study shows the highest levels are in Miami-Dade County Fla., Baltimore City, Md., and Bronx County, N.Y., all with 16.6% each. Older Black Americans and are about twice as likely to have Alzheimer’s than older white citizens and older Hispanic adults are about 1.5 times as likely.

Link between brain and weight gain

Scientists have discovered a high-fat diet can lead to brain inflammation which leads to the activation of neurons involved in appetite stimulation. However, a greater amount of these molecules can trigger weight loss. This revelation has unlocked a new potential for obesity treatment.
