How one small-town physician is convincing his patients to get vaccinated for COVID-19
Shawn Purifoy, MD, a family doctor in rural Arkansas, says hearing the facts from trusted sources is key to dispelling patients' fears about vaccination.
Shawn Purifoy, MD, is a family doctor and director of the Malvern Family Medical Clinic in Malvern Arkansas. Arkansas has one of the nation’s lowest vaccination rates, and Dr. Purifoy heads a coalition of independent practices—all members of an ACO—that produced a TV video urging people to get vaccinated. He says that hearing the facts from trusted sources is key to dispelling patients' fears about vaccination.
