COVID-19 cases are on the upswing again, and flu season is here. Physicians must prepare their staff and patients for the next wave of this pandemic. There are financial, legal and operational considerations physicians must consider as they fight for their practices’ future.

I’m joined today by Mark Claster, a partner at Carl Marks Advisors, an investment banking and advisory firm in New York City, and Ari J. Markenson, a partner at Winston & Strawn’s New York City office.

We had a wide-ranging discussion of what’s coming next, including practical tips to help physicians manage their businesses in these difficult times.

Topics discussed include:

  • Video 1: How COVID-19 has impacted practice finances
  • Video 2: Preparing for COVID-19's next wave
  • Video 3: PPE supply and getting ready for a shortage
  • Video 4: How to keep patients safe during in-person care
  • Video 5: CARES Act funding and other financial aid for practices, explained
  • Video 6: What is the health care lending landscape like?
  • Video 7: Telehealth's staying power
