Doximity launches free AI scribe to cut ‘pajama time’
Doximity has unveiled Scribe, a HIPAA-compliant, artificial intelligence (AI)-powered documentation tool that generates real-time clinical notes during patient visits — aiming to end the late-night charting many clinicians know too well. Built with input from over 10,000 providers, Scribe integrates with Doximity Dialer and works on desktop or mobile. It’s free for all verified U.S. physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and med students.

India-based Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories plans to roll out a lower-cost generic version of Novo Nordisk’s weight-loss drug Wegovy across 87 countries starting in 2026, targeting markets like Canada, Brazil, India and Turkey as patents expire. The move could undercut Novo Nordisk’s dominance and reshape the $100 billion obesity drug market by increasing affordability and access. Investors responded with a 2% jump in Dr. Reddy’s shares.
MIT’s fish-inspired device sticks to soft tissue — and delivers drugs underwater
Inspired by the remora fish, MIT engineers have developed a mechanical adhesive that clings to soft, slippery surfaces — even underwater — for days or weeks. Detailed in Nature, the disc-shaped device mimics the suction and micro-spines of sucker fish and could revolutionize drug delivery in the gastrointestinal (GI) tract. Early tests show it can administer HIV drugs or RNA in animals.
