Coronavirus case numbers in the United States: APRIL 23 update

Data from the COVID tracking project on coronavirus cases, test results and more.

How many novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases were announced today?

The COVID Tracking Project is a volunteer effort to compile federal and state data in regards to new COVID-19 cases, including number of positive and negative tests.

Here’s the latest data, updated on April 23:

Positive tests: 826,936

Negative tests: 3,639,623

Pending tests: 4,191

Patient deaths: 42, 103
