How many novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases were announced today?

The COVID Tracking Project is a volunteer effort to compile federal and state data in regards to new COVID-19 cases, including number of positive and negative tests. Data on vaccination comes from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Here’s the latest data, updated on February 18:

Positive tests: 27,606,974

Negative tests: 124,251,884

Number of hospitalized patients: 63,398

Patient deaths: 480,595

Total vaccine doses distributed: 72,423,125

Patients who've received the first dose: 56,281,827

Patients who’ve received the second dose: 15,471,536
