MGMA’s 100th-anniversary conference runs Sept. 27-30 in San Antonio, and these 10 sessions put physician contracts, compensation and legal exposure on the table.

A program written for administrators

The Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) holds its annual conference Sept. 27-30 at the Henry B. González Convention Center in San Antonio, the association’s 100th year. The program runs to more than 100 sessions, and most of them are written for the person who manages the schedule, the staff and the dashboard.

Physicians are still the subject of much of it. Payer contracts get signed over a physician’s name. Compensation formulas get rebuilt around a physician’s productivity. The Medicare rules that set the rates are argued in Washington by people who will be standing on a stage in San Antonio taking questions.
