The Leapfrog Group: Reacting to a study on patient safety

Patient safety, deaths and diagnostic error were at the center of a study published in JAMA Internal Medicine. The Leapfrog Group, a hospital watchdog, was not involved with that study. But Jean-Luc Tilly, MPA, PMP, program manager for Leapfrog Group’s health care ratings, explains why the figure represents a high level of patient harm and is alarming.
