Staffing challenges: Salary and pay trends, part 1

Medical offices are competing with retail and restaurants.

DHR Health has had to adjust pay scales to retain staff, but if they continue leaving, there’s another problem. Veronica Villareal, MHA/MBA, chief ambulatory officer for DHR Health in Texas, talks about pay and management in 75 locations in the Rio Grande Valley area of Texas.

Villareal will present “Living in and Overcoming Staffing Uncertainty” as part of “Medical Practice Excellence: Financial and Operations Conference,” presented by the Medical Group Management Association March 19-21 in Orlando, Florida.
