The study period selected by the Physicians Advocacy Institute (PAI) coincided with one of the major health and medical issues of the 21^st century: the COVID-19 pandemic. It did not appear to help physicians who were trying to remain open as independent practitioners. PAI CEO Kelly Kenney, JD, explains the effects of the pandemic on physicians’ practices.
