President Donald J. Trump and First Lady Melania Trump have both tested positive for COVID-19, according to a statement by the White House physician.

Sean P. Conley, DO, confirmed early Friday the positive tests, but provided only limited information on the president's condition. The Trumps plan to quarantine themselves in the White House.

"The President and First Lady are both well at this time," he says.

President Trump announced the positive test himself on twitter, after media reports that adviser Hope Hicks had tested positive for COVID-19 earlier this week.
