King with cancer

You’ve probably heard that King Charles has cancer that was discovered during his treatment for an enlarged prostate. What do we know about it? Not much, according to the BBC.

Singer-songwriter lost

On Feb. 5, cancer claimed the life of country music singer-songwriter Toby Keith. He was 62 years old. He was diagnosed with stomach cancer in 2022, and is survived by his wife and three children. Keith had 39 songs chart on Billboard’s Hot 100 charts from 1993 to 2012.

Healthy bodies and buildings

Is there a correlation between people’s health and the conditions they live in? Maybe a large one. Researchers found “buildings with residents who have a high number of housing-sensitive health conditions … also have many housing quality deficiencies.” Those housing-sensitive health conditions involve asthma, cardiovascular ailments, mental health, substance use and injuries, according to a new study and accompanying news release.
