Trends from last year continue to make it difficult to hire staff in 2026.

As spring 2026 approaches, the hiring and talent search trends of 2025 may seem like they’re long in the past.

But those challenges set the stage for the top priority of health care hiring leaders who aim to be more efficient in finding, hiring and onboarding workers this year.

GoodTime, a company that specializes in using artificial intelligence to streamline hiring processes in health care and other sectors, offered its 2026 outlook as part of its “2026 Hiring Insights Report.”

In short: “Health care leaders expect the same core pressures to persist into 2026,” the report said.

This slideshow presents findings about what 2025 trends will continue this year and what priorities will be at the top for human resources and talent acquisition teams.

All data come from GoodTime, which surveyed more than 100 health care leaders among its pool of 504 senior talent acquisition leaders in companies with 1,000 or more employees across sectors.
