FDNY members still dying from 9/11 related illnesses

Three hundred and forty-one fire fighters have now died of Ground Zero related illnesses. This nearly equals the death toll of 343 fire fighters that lost their lives on 9/11. Last week, 43 of the latest names were added to the Fire Department of New York’s World Trade Center Memorial Wall, the second largest addition in twelve years.

Antibodies work against new COVID variant

New data shows that antibodies should protect against the latest COVID variant. In the coming days, the Food and Drug Administration is expected to release updated vaccines that will help fight off this new variant, known as BA.2.86. The variant has been detected in nine states.

New normal body temperature

New research from Stanford shows that 98.6 F is no longer the normal body temperature. It’s now 98.0 F. Those who are curious can plug in their measurements on the website linked here to see if their oral temperature is considered normal.
