Drivers of health: Four steps to get started

If physicians are going to address drivers of patient health, efficiency and effectiveness are crucial. The Physicians Foundation has studied how these affect patient health, and believes a proposal by the U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services for a Universal Foundation to measure drivers of health could lead to new ways for doctors to help patients deal with social and economic conditions that affect well-being.
