Data from the COVID tracking project on coronavirus cases, test results and more

How many novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases were announced today?

The COVID Tracking Project is a volunteer effort to compile federal and state data in regards to new COVID-19 cases, including number of positive and negative tests.

Here’s the latest data, updated on October 29:

Positive tests: 8,802,099

Negative tests: 117,073,522

Cumulative hospitalized: 468,287

Currently hospitalized: 45,045

Patient deaths: 219,374
