Data from the COVID tracking project on coronavirus cases, test results and more

How many novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases were announced today?

The COVID Tracking Project is a volunteer effort to compile federal and state data in regards to new COVID-19 cases, including number of positive and negative tests.

Here’s the latest data, updated on October 20:

Positive tests: 8,171,703

Negative tests: 109,195,067

Cumulative hospitalized: 436,817

Currently hospitalized: 37,744

Patient deaths: 211,846
