How many novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases were announced today?
The COVID Tracking Project is a volunteer effort to compile federal and state data in regards to new COVID-19 cases, including number of positive and negative tests. Data on vaccination comes from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Here’s the latest data, updated on January 27:
Positive tests: 25,078,884
Negative tests: 226,999,645
Number of hospitalized patients: 108,957
Patient deaths: 415,557
Total vaccine doses distributed: 44,394,075
Patients who've received the first dose: 19,902,237
Patients who’ve received the second dose: 3,481,921
