How many novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases were announced today?

The COVID Tracking Project is a volunteer effort to compile federal and state data in regards to new COVID-19 cases, including number of positive and negative tests. Data on vaccination comes from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Here’s the latest data, updated on January 25:

Positive tests: 24,800,354

Negative tests: 224,398,833

Number of hospitalized patients: 110,628

Patient deaths: 410,212

Total vaccine doses distributed: 41,411,550

Patients who've received the first dose: 18,502,131

Patients who’ve received the second dose: 3,216,836
