Coronavirus case numbers in the United States: AUGUST 13 update

Data from the COVID tracking project on coronavirus cases, test results and more.

How many novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases were announced today?

The COVID Tracking Project is a volunteer effort to compile federal and state data in regards to new COVID-19 cases, including number of positive and negative tests.

Here’s the latest data, updated on August 13:

Positive tests: 5,172,509

Negative tests: 58,558,796

Pending tests: 4,174

Number of hospitalized patients: 47,954

Patient deaths: 157,776
