Time is running out for you to settle any outstanding billing disputes with Blue Cross Blue Shield under the terms of a class action settlement reached with the insurers four years ago.

The settlement expires May 31, and the AMA is urging physicians to file any disputes regarding compliance before that date. To settle a lawsuit brought by more than 9,000 doctors, BCBS agreed in 2007 to change its business practices, and paid more than $131 million in settlements in 2009. Go here for more information.
