The growing shortage of primary care providers, especially in rural areas, is causing doctors and pharmacists to look for ways they can work together to meet patients’ health needs. IT company Surescripts recently asked more than 500 pharmacists and prescribers about the challenges they face and the benefits of closer collaboration. Results of the survey follow.
