With demand outstripping supply in many specialties, hospitals and other healthcare facilities increasingly are turning to locum tenens physicians to meet their needs. Staff Care, a firm that matches locum tenens providers with healthcare organizations, recently surveyed more than 200 healthcare executives about use of locum tenens at their facilities during the previous 12 months. Highlights of survey results follow.Â
