The acquisitions give StatLab, a developer and manufacturer of medical diagnostic supplies and equipment, a direct foothold in France, Germany, Italy and the United Kingdom, placing it among a small group of suppliers with fully direct access to Europe’s largest pathology markets. The company said the milestone will allow for closer customer relationships and broader access to its full product portfolio.

StatLab also acquired the remaining stake in Diapath France, a joint venture launched in 2023 between Diapath and Jacques Hannaby to serve the direct laboratory market in France. The company said these additions strengthen its footprint in France and Germany while building on its presence in the UK and Italy.
“We’re thrilled to officially welcome Histoserve and Diapath France into the StatLab family,” said Alberto Battistel, managing director of Diapath. “Fully integrating their businesses into our European strategic plan will further strengthen customer relationships and fuel additional growth.”
Jakobi said becoming part of StatLab will provide customers with access to a wider product range and a more unified experience. “Together we’ll deliver a more unified customer experience, supporting growth with direct labs across Germany and Northern Europe,” he said.
