Practicing medicine how it was meant to be: An interview with David B. MacIsaac, DO

Author(s):

David B. MacIsaac, DO, knew he had to get out of the traditional fee-for-service hampster wheel, and noticed how the number of independent practices in his area were dwindling.

A family physician in the Pittsburgh area, MacIsaac wanted to find another option to retain his independence and practice medicine how it was meant to be. So he began looking into concierge medicine options. Eventually, after a good deal of research, he choose SignatureMD.

Medical Economics sat down with MacIsaac to discuss his concierge transition, and what impact its had on his own life, career and that care of his patients.
