Paul Berggreen, MD, is president and board chair of the American Independent Medical Practice Association (AIMPA). He also is a gastroenterologist and in this video he offers a description about why clinical autonomy is so important for physicians facing worrisome levels of burnout. More broadly, Berggreen spoke to Medical Economics about the Policy Research Perspectives paper, “Physician Practice Characteristics in 2024: Private Practices Account for Less Than Half of Physicians in Most Specialties,” published by the American Medical Association.
