On July 1, the Senate approved the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, the national spending plan supported by President Donald J. Trump.
For months, health care organizations have been warning of potential serious consequences across the health care sector. In response to the Senate vote, America’s Physician Groups (APG) President and CEO Susan Dentzer published a statement with seven key reason why the bill is a major setback for the U.S. health care system and health policy.
