Some of our Shorts are excerpts from longer content, such as in-depth interviews with physicians for our video programs or our podcast, Off the Chart. Some of our shorts are part of series, including our Morning Medical Update Weekly Recap. Some of our Shorts are submitted by physicians and other experts.

Submit your own Short!

Are you a physician or health care expert interested in submitting a Short? You can!

Here are some quick instructions, plus some contacts on who on our content staff you can reach out to.

  1. Hold the phone either at arm’s length or use a phone mount / stand to keep it at a consistent shot.
  2. Choose a well-lit, volume-controlled area. It doesn’t have to be a studio — just an office or closed-door setting will do! Our content teams have plenty of experience with enhancing video and audio quality if necessary.
  3. Begin the video with a clear statement or “thesis.” Ensure the expert is providing an explicit comment on a clearly defined topic.
  4. Aim for 30 - 60 seconds, depending on the topic. Brevity is key!
  5. If you’re using an iPhone 13 or newer model, film the Short in Cinematic mode!

Our content team is happy to work out a potential idea before you film it! And lastly — remember that we have a team of professional editors, producers who can help ensure the best version of your video gets to our site and in front of our audience!
