Match 2024: Lessons learned from COVID-19

AAFP president discusses the 2024 Match and the present and future of family and internal medicine.

Furr, MD, FAAFP, president of the American Academy of Family Physicians, discusses lessons that physicians learned about self care, personal well-being and caring for other physicians and clinicians. Those could be longer term effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Furr spoke to Medical Economics in response to the record number of primary care positions offered in the 2024 Match.
