HIMSS meeting posts record attendance
The Health Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) says that its 2011 annual meeting--held February 20 to 24 in Orlando, Florida--drew a record 31,225 attendees, including 14,639 professionals who registered.

The Health Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) says that its 2011 annual meeting-held February 20 to 24 in Orlando, Florida-drew a record 31,225 attendees, including 14,639 professionals who registered.
Included among the professional attendance were: 87 private practice physicians; 88 hospital-based physicians; 269 chief medical officers; 71 chief medical information officers; and 100 chiefs of other clinical departments.
