Drivers of health: Speaking to primary care

Video

Drivers of health are a major factor creating stress for primary care physicians.

Offering help for primary care physicians will take some burdens off the physicians while improving outcomes and costs for their patients, said Physicians Foundation President Gary Price, MD, MBA. The Physicians Foundation has studied how drivers of health affect patients, and believes a proposal by the U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services for a Universal Foundation to measure drivers of health could lead to new ways for doctors to help patients deal with social and economic conditions that affect well-being.
