News
Article

An external medical panel will work with senior leadership to judge response at international healthcare conference.

HIMSS announced March 2 that they still plan on holding their annual conference later this month as the world worries about the COVID-19 coronavirus.

The organization has assembled an external medical panel to advise senior leadership on as the organization’s annual conference approaches.

The announcement comes as the world braces for widespread infection of the disease which has already killed two Americans near Seattle, Washington, and more than 3,000 people worldwide.

Last week, the CDC officials announced that Americans should prepare for disruptions to their daily lives as the disease is expected to spread across the country.
