Data from the COVID tracking project on coronavirus cases, test results and more

How many novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases were announced today?

The COVID Tracking Project is a volunteer effort to compile federal and state data in regards to new COVID-19 cases, including number of positive and negative tests.

Here’s the latest data, updated on September 24:

Positive tests: 6,897,596

Negative tests: 87,396,255

Cumulative hospitalized: 399,231

Currently hospitalized: 29,915

Patient deaths: 193,912
