How many novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases were announced today?

The COVID Tracking Project is a volunteer effort to compile federal and state data in regards to new COVID-19 cases, including number of positive and negative tests. Data on vaccination comes from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Here’s the latest data, updated on January 15:

Positive tests: 22,982,927

Negative tests: 210,652,505

Number of hospitalized patients: 128,947

Patient deaths: 379,451

Total vaccine doses distributed: 30,628,175

Patients who've received a vaccine dose: 11,148,991
