How many novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases were announced today?

The COVID Tracking Project is a volunteer effort to compile federal and state data in regards to new COVID-19 cases, including number of positive and negative tests. Data on vaccination comes from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Here’s the latest data, updated on January 13:

Positive tests: 22,538,426

Negative tests: 208,367,360

Number of hospitalized patients: 131,326

Patient deaths: 371,449

Total vaccine doses distributed: 27,696,150

Patients who've received a vaccine dose: 9,327,138
