How many novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases were announced today?

The COVID Tracking Project is a volunteer effort to compile federal and state data in regards to new COVID-19 cases, including number of positive and negative tests. Data on vaccination comes from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Here’s the latest data, updated on January 11:

Positive tests: 22,102,069

Negative tests: 205,529,180

Number of hospitalized patients: 129,229

Patient deaths: 371,084

Total vaccine doses distributed: 22,137,350

Patients who've received a vaccine dose: 6,688,231
