How many novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases were announced today?

The COVID Tracking Project is a volunteer effort to compile federal and state data in regards to new COVID-19 cases, including number of positive and negative tests. Data on vaccination comes from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Here’s the latest data, updated on February 19:

Positive tests: 27,674,548

Negative tests: 124,686,918

Number of hospitalized patients: 62,300

Patient deaths: 483,223

Total vaccine doses distributed: 73,377,450

Patients who've received the first dose: 41,021,049

Patients who’ve received the second dose: 16,162,358
