Clinisupplies Limited, a manufacturer and supplier of continence care consumables, announced Monday it has acquired the Renew Inserts business from Renew Medical Inc. and Renew Medical UK Limited, expanding its footprint in bowel management and enhancing its support services for patients with chronic bowel issues.
The acquisition brings the Renew Inserts range under the Clinisupplies umbrella, a move the company says aligns with its long-term mission to help people with continence conditions live more freely and comfortably.
Paul Cook, CEO at Clinisupplies, said the acquisition is a natural fit for the company’s purpose. “The Renew Inserts business is a perfect fit with Clinisupplies’ purpose of helping people with continence issues to live more freely through the products and services we provide,” Cook said. “It is our ambition to continue broadening the range of products and services in order to reach more consumers and health care professionals and to better support their needs. We are excited to add the Renew Inserts range to our portfolio and to continue building on our growing position in the UK and around the world.”
Renew Medical’s leadership echoed that sentiment, noting the shared history and strong collaboration between the two organizations.
“We have enjoyed a growing and successful commercial partnership with the Clinisupplies team over recent years and have been delighted with the continued success of the Inserts range, both in the UK and internationally,” said Jason Tate, CEO at Renew. “We are excited to see the next phase of development for the portfolio and the wide ranging support available for Renew Inserts users under Clinisupplies ownership.”
The acquisition is part of a broader growth strategy backed by KKR, a global investment firm that has supported Clinisupplies through its Health Care Strategic Growth Fund II, a $4 billion fund dedicated to high-growth healthcare companies. KKR has invested more than $20 billion in the healthcare sector globally since 2004.
With the Renew Inserts acquisition, Clinisupplies strengthens its market position in both the UK and international healthcare markets, while continuing to expand its comprehensive portfolio of continence care solutions.
